Dorothy

Dorothy, your New England–born sassafras—spicy, stubborn, and here to ruin your expectations. I bartend on the side, mostly so I can pretend I’m social and cool. I have a cat I’m emotionally co-dependent on (and would literally die if he ever chose Dad as his favorite person). I speak fluent sarcasm, cry at dog commercials, and maintain that cold brew qualifies as a personality trait. I’d commit heinous crimes for a good bacon, egg, and cheese.

When I’m not devouring romance novels, I dabble in sci-fi, women’s contemporary fiction, historical fiction, fantasy, and the occasional porn star biography. Fun fact: once, while drunk at Harrah’s in Atlantic City, I grinded on Pauly D—a peak Millennial moment that still haunts my family lineage.

I live in the Midwest with my fiancé and our dogs. I say ‘ope, let me scootch right past ya’ too many times a day, will always call it a hotdish, and I believe that Snickers can be a salad. If you want a good laugh, get me to say “I got this bag at the boat show at the Fargo Dome, don'tcha know”.

I love all things smut. I will read any genre of book, as long as it has a bit of spice, but not much else. I love finding readers in the wild and can talk about dirty books forever.

I like hot coffee, but it’s just not rational. Why wait for it to cool down when I can just have cold brew, right now instead?

I’m just here, vibing and enjoying life along the way.

Nicole

I live in the Northeast with my husband and our dog, who shares my flair for dramatic goodbyes—we’ve got mutual separation anxiety down to an art. My husband is the wittiest person I know and he is my occasional public RBF coach. Like any self-respecting millennial, I’m obsessed with true crime, and my love for popcorn and mini York peppermint patties might actually be a misdemeanor. Boxing is my go-to workout, and while I refuse to watch sports on TV, I’ll out-cheer any diehard fan in the stands. I’m a Jeopardy enthusiast who confidently answers all the questions but gets less than 1% of the answers correct. But hey, it’s about the vibe.

When I’m not diving into romance and fantasy novels, I’m devouring mystery/thrillers, historical fiction, Disney villain POVs, and—above all—Harry Potter on repeat.
